Author Interview: Andrea Smith

Happy 2017 everyone! My next book review (Maybe Baby) will be coming up soon. Please see below to learn more about the author, Andrea Smith.

Please provide readers a little information about yourself such as how long you have been a writer.

I first self-published in August of 2012, but I've been a writer all of my life. Unfortunately, my dream of publishing fiction was put on hold for 30 years while I raised a family, and had a career in Corporate America. The later, not nearly as fulfilling or creative as publishing fiction.

Please provide a brief overview of your book.

Maybe Baby is my first book, and is part of the "Baby Series." I came up with the idea because of my love for horses and competitive dressage. So, I incorporated that as a back drop for the steamy romance between a college senior and a young, powerful attorney in this series. Tylar Preston has a past for which even she isn't entirely aware. Through life events, and occasional nightmares, the secrets of her past start to unravel the summer she is interning at Sinclair Stables. Trey Sinclair is a handsome attorney from Atlanta. During the summer, he stays at his parents' horse ranch in Virginia while they travel Europe. He never expects to be drawn to a college coed who seems determined to start off of the wrong foot with him. Suspense, intrigue and an unlikely match-up will leave the reader eager to start the next book in this series.

What was your inspiration for writing this book?

I found myself past 50, unemployed, and eager to see if the creative juices Corporate America frowns upon still existed within me. It was powerful motivation and inspiration!

Do you have other books out or do you have plans of writing more?

I have a total of 20 titles out in various genres including: Romantic Suspense, NA Romance, Paranormal Romance, YA Suspense, M/M Romance, and M/F/M Romance.
